Sailboat Maintenance: Underbody, Osmosis and Interior

Sailboats often stay afloat for long periods, which brings underbody, osmosis and surface care to the fore. Our scope is hull, surface, teak and interior; mast/rigging and engine work are outside us.

Underbody and osmosis

On sailboats kept long afloat, regularly monitoring osmosis symptoms matters; early treatment lowers cost (see osmosis treatment). Underbody antifouling and cleaning are annual items.

Surface and teak

Gelcoat care on the hull and teak cleaning on deck are done. Damp and mould control in the interior is critical on long moorings.

What we don't do

Mast, rigging, sails and engine are not our expertise; we refer these items honestly. On hull, paint, teak and interior we provide full service.
