Surface or structural?
Superficial gelcoat cracks are cosmetic and solved quickly. But cracks reaching the laminate, delamination and underwater damage need structural repair and shouldn't be neglected.

The life of a repair depends on the right resin choice and lamination quality. Where needed, the area is strengthened with carbon reinforcement.
